One of the interesting things about Edinburgh is that the city council has made a strong commitment to cooperatives, and want to be a 'cooperative capital'. They have set up a cooperative development unit to support the development of new cooperatives in aim energy, social care, child care and housing services.
Edinburgh Community Energy Cooperative were also involved in organising the event, and it will be great to stay in touch with them and learn from how they progress.
I was also interested to find out about the UK's first MCS accredited fuel cell - perhaps a technology worth considering? Anyone want to do some research?
The full report from the day can be downloaded from here, along with presentations from the speakers.
